International Hot Air Balloon Festival Commemorates Mexico Earthquake Victims

IN PICTURES: Hundreds from around the world commemorated victims of recent earthquakes at the festival.

The International Hot Air Balloon Festival this year, in the city of Leon, Mexico, was dedicated to the victims of the major earthquakes that rocked the Latin American country in September.

More than 200 people from around the world participated in the festival that has been celebrated in the country for 16 years.

The earthquakes killed nearly 370 people, occurring close to the 32nd anniversary of the 1985 Mexico City earthquake, which had killed a staggering 10,000 people.
